When Venus Returns
by Pemo Theodore

Your 'love barometer' - how your love life can be interpreted by the annual migration of Venus and her celestial meetings with other heavenly bodies.

As the 21st Century progresses, society continues to reconstruct the traditional model of relating. As life becomes more complex and challenging, more creativity is required in all our relationships and the same can be reflected in your love life.

The goddess Venus has come into her own: she has never been confined by only one relationship, but mythically always responded to beauty, lust and love instincts.

However, the 'signature' of Venus in every horoscope is different, depending on the relative placement of planets and asteroids in the twelve astrological houses. Important information can be gleaned from assessing the movements of nine love-oriented asteroids and their relationship to Venus.

Venus: Homecoming Queen

For everyone at some time of year, Venus returns to its natal position, and the astrological chart that is calculated is called the Venus Return.

This casting of the chart can offer rich detail, including placement of key asteroids, as to how the natal Venus signature will be activated, and the timing of events for the year.

Sections include:

Ceres:                Nurturing Love
Juno:                 Love Contracts
Vesta:                Fated Love
Psyche:              Alchemical Love
Sappho:             Refining Love
Eros:                  Transforming Love
Cupido:              The Look of Love
Amor:                 Love and Destiny
Aphrodite:          Fated Love
Black Moon Lilith:  Love's Shadow
Chiron:               Vulnerable Love

Venus & Marilyn

An interpretation of Marilyn Monroe's natal chart, after the 80th anniversary of her birth.

"Men who think that a woman's past love affairs lessen her love for them are usually stupid and weak. A woman can bring a new love to each man she loves, providing there are not too many."

Love Goddess Marilyn Monroe once said, "That's the trouble; a sex symbol becomes a thing, but if I'm going to be a symbol of something, I'd rather have it be sex than some other things we've got symbols of." Marilyn's natal horoscope is a great example to show the techniques that can be used to identify an individual 'Love Barometer'.
