Seeds
of Choice, Seeds of Change
by Roderick Kidston
In
recent years
the patterns of the heavens have been heralding
a return to the 'good old days'.
The
Taurus alignment of May 2000 focused
a strong collective energy on basic survival
issues and material concerns: this long
term influence will not really shift until
late 2030s.
Other patterns in late
2004 and early 2005 emphasised the influence
of Saturn, with all its serious, cautious
and often reactionary tendencies: This was
the period of the re-election of essentially
conservative leaders in many first world
countries, including the USA and Australia,
and the ultra-orthodox Pope Benedict as
successor to the conservative John Paul
II.
War,
pestilence & natural disasters
will have made 2006 a cleansing year, as
was 2005, only more so, as a great deal
passes away in preparation for new things
and new ways of being. Given the portents
of 2007, making room for the new seems an
entirely right and necessary process.
We
live in very material times and
we have recently experienced a cascade of
especially conservative, often fear driven
influences, yet there are cracks in the
foundations to appear during 2007.
It
is a year when things are set to shift,
perhaps in sometimes quite dramatic and
sudden ways.
There
is a sense of movement, with significant
developments in science and technology.
Seeds
of change are sown in 2007: time
will tell how well they germinate, grow
and flower.
